STORY: From multi-billion dollar deals, to plays written with AI -- this is AI Weekly. -- :: AI WeeklyMicrosoft and Nvidia have made a mega deal with Claude-maker Anthropic, featuring tens of billions of dollars of spending.It includes a $30 billion commitment by the AI company to Microsoft's cloud services, Azure. And both Nvidia and Microsoft committing up to $10 billion and $5 billion in Anthropic, respectively. The agreement brings together major players in the AI industry, with Claude being a major rival to ChatGPT.Elon Musk’s artificial-intelligence startup xAI is in advanced talks to raise $15 billion in new equity - at a valuation of $230 billion.That's according to the Wall Street Journal. The new valuation would more than double the amount disclosed in March.The startup has been rapidly scaling its data-center footprint to train more advanced models, as it tries to close the gap with OpenAI’s ChatGPT and Anthropic’s Claude.
